Terms of service

Plain English Summary

This section is a helpful overview of the key points. It does not replace the full Terms & Conditions below. If there is any conflict between this summary and the full Terms, the full Terms apply.

  • Who these Terms apply to: We sell to both businesses and consumers. Some clauses apply differently depending on how you are purchasing.
  • Orders: A contract is formed when we confirm your order or dispatch your goods.
  • Prices: If an obvious pricing error occurs, we will contact you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or receive a full refund.
  • Delivery: Delivery dates are estimates. Large items are usually delivered kerbside only.
  • Returns: Our Refunds, Returns & Warranty Policy explains how returns and cancellations work.
  • Installation: Some products must be installed by qualified professionals. Incorrect installation can void warranty.
  • Liability: We do not limit liability where the law does not allow it. For business customers, liability is capped.

By placing an order with KOVE and checking the box at checkout confirming that you have read these Terms & Conditions, you agree to be bound by them.

KOVE supplies goods to both business customers and consumers. Many of our products are designed for professional and commercial environments. These Terms & Conditions are written on a business-to-business basis. If you are purchasing as a consumer (wholly or mainly outside your trade, business or profession), your statutory rights under UK consumer law apply where they differ from or override these Terms.

2. Basis of Contract

2.1 These Conditions apply to all Orders. Any other terms the Customer seeks to impose are excluded unless agreed in writing.

2.2 The Order constitutes an offer. Acceptance occurs when we issue an order confirmation or dispatch the Goods, whichever occurs first.

2.3 Product descriptions, images, specifications and marketing materials are provided for guidance only and do not form part of the Contract.

3. Goods

3.1 Goods are described on our website or in written documentation.

3.2 Dimensions, weights, capacities, finishes, colours and materials are approximate. Natural materials (including wood) may vary in grain, tone and appearance. Minor variations do not constitute a defect.

3.3 We reserve the right to withdraw products, discontinue ranges, or alter specifications where required by law, supply availability, or product improvement, provided performance is not materially affected.

3.4 Where Goods are unavailable, we may, with the Customer’s agreement, supply equivalent or superior items.

4. Delivery

4.1 Delivery is made to the address provided in the Order.

4.2 Delivery is kerbside only unless expressly agreed otherwise.

4.3 The Customer should inspect Goods on delivery and report visible issues as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 24 hours. Delay may limit investigation but does not affect Consumer statutory rights.

4.4 Delivery dates are estimates only. Time is not of the essence.

4.5 If the Customer fails to accept delivery, we may, after reasonable notice, charge storage or redelivery fees or resell the Goods.

5. Price and Payment

5.1 Prices are as stated at checkout or in written quotations and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.

5.2 While we take reasonable care to ensure prices are accurate, pricing errors may occasionally occur.

5.3 If we discover an obvious pricing error, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. Where the correct price is higher, you may proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

5.4 If the error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised as a mistake, we reserve the right to cancel the Order and issue a full refund, even if acknowledged but not dispatched.

5.5 Once an Order has been accepted, prices will not change unless agreed in writing.

6. Title and Risk

6.1 Risk passes on delivery.

6.2 Title passes only once payment in full has been received.

7. Warranty & Installation

7.1 Warranty coverage is detailed in our Refunds, Returns & Warranty Policy.

7.2 Many KOVE products are supplied in pre-cut, panel-based kits suitable for installation by competent tradespeople. Certain products require installation by qualified professionals in accordance with UK law (e.g. fixed-wired electrical equipment).

7.3 Warranty does not apply to defects arising from improper installation, misuse, lack of maintenance, alteration, or non-compliance with regulations.

8. Returns

8.1 Our Refunds, Returns & Warranty Policy forms part of these Conditions.

8.2 Business Customers do not have statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

8.3 Consumers may have cancellation rights as detailed in our Refunds, Returns & Warranty Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or statutory Consumer rights.

9.2 For Business Customers, liability is limited to the price paid for the Goods giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, supplier disruption, transport failure, strikes, or utility outages.

11. General

11.1 English law governs these Terms and the Contract. Courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
